Dr. Wells has recently become a partner in Grand Dental Implant Centers and we are proud to have him leading our Aurora office. Dr. Wells looks forward to continuing to develop our team to be even better at serving our patient’s needs. Together with the dentists, specialists and team members, Grand Dental – Aurora delivers quality, lasting solutions for each individual patient. For him, dentistry isn’t about short-term fixes. It’s about upgrading a patient’s whole life!
Dr. Wells chose dentistry because he had an aunt that was a dentist and got to spend time in her practice growing up. He knew he’d end up entering the medical field, but dentistry, allowed him to build long-term relationships with his patients.
After completing his initial degree at Augustana College, Dr. Wells pursued his doctorate at Midwestern University. He continues to be passionate about pursuing continuing education and honing his skills in more complex treatments for patients. He started off focusing on root canal therapy, then progressed to dental implant training and other restorative solutions for missing teeth.
Dr. Wells’ wife, Paige, is also a dentist; they have two young daughters named Caroline and Quinn. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, going on walks, and traveling to new places. He is also an avid golfer; recently he started collecting rounds of golf he has played on “Top 100” courses around the country.
After a knee surgery from a high school football injury, Dr. Bice was initially drawn to be becoming an anesthesiologist. At the same time, his sister, an operating room nurse, was also recommending he become a surgeon. During his research on those 2 professions, he discovered oral surgery. Oral surgery would be the best of both worlds because they are also trained to provide anesthesia in their dental offices. So, off he went to dental school which is the first step towards becoming an oral surgeon. During dental school, he came to realize that the best part of the experience was spending time and becoming friends with his patients. He understood that general dentists have this unique opportunity because their care happens over many visits and years of treatment. Oral surgeons mostly see people once and they’re done. It was that realization that made Dr Bice decide his focus, passion and future was going to be general dentistry!
For undergraduate school, Dr. Bice attended Northern Illinois University where he played starting defensive end for the Huskies football team. He received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. Since finishing school, he has completed continuing education in endodontics, oral surgery (including single dental implant placement and full arch dental implants), restorative dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. In particular, Dr. Bice has a passion for transforming patients’ lives through full arch implant treatment. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and Illinois State Dental Society.
Dr. Bice enjoys spending time with his family- his wife Maddie and their toddler twins, Bran and Blair. He is loving new Dad life and his growing collection of Dad jokes!
